about-globalFor the past several years, we have been working hard to create a coaching model that develops coaches and leaders who in turn develop other coaches and leaders.  We use the term coaching eco-system to describe this process.  But what exactly does the term “Coaching Eco-System” mean, and why is it important to you?

At ALCN, we have had great success in training leaders and other individuals using our ICF Certified Coach Training Program. Programs such as our three week Summer Intensive immersion program which we have been teaching for almost 14 years draws people from around the globe in search of qualified coach training combined with NLP that will give them the cutting edge in both a corporate business setting as well as in a personal coaching practice.

What we have found is that our greatest asset within our coach training model is the students who have attended our programs. They have taken the knowledge they have gained both in coach training as well as NLP practices into their personal and professional lives and have created a beautiful picture of how the coaching process and NLP work hand-in-hand.  One of our greatest delights at ALCN is when we have the opportunity to partner with our former students to bring the skills and tools they have acquired in the ALCN coach training programs back into their own environments and homelands.

But why is this coaching eco-system so valuable to our students? We like to think of it as a pay it forward mentality.  Our students, in whom we have invested and have invested in us, are now taking the time to invest the knowledge they have acquired in the lives and businesses others. Here are a few benefits of a coaching eco-system for both businesses and individuals:

  1. Learn from those who are just a step ahead – The coaching eco-system allows students to learn from other students who have had similar experiences. Much like parenting, the graduate coach is able to guide and mentor the student or recent graduate-coach through the process of building their practice and/or utilizing their coaching skills in a corporate setting, not based on a “guess” but rather a real life experience.
  2. Training coaches who train coaches – One of the biggest challenges we have had at ALCN has also been one of our biggest opportunities. With the incredible growth of leadership and executive coaching both within organizations and as a professional career aspiration, we have seen a increase in the need for coach training (and individuals who are qualified/certified to lead this training internationally). While this is exciting, it can be difficult to keep up with the demand. Training coaches who are qualified to bring our coach training to others offers us the freedom to oversee their programs, as well as the joy of watching them take the lead in the instructor role.
  3. Reaching to the corners of the world – Again, as noted above, the demand for coach training has been increasing globally every year. This demand is not just here in the United States, but it is being seen in all corners of the globe. We have reached people in China, Estonia, Europe, and the UK just to name a few. But we have not done this alone. Our coaching eco-system allows us to impact individuals worldwide, while they are being taught coach training from fellow countrymen who are aware of important cultural expectations which makes the training even more effective.

Everyone benefits from a coaching eco-system – Former graduates are able to grow their skills, the up and coming graduates and current students learn from the mentorship of someone who has been in similar situations, and we at ALCN are able to present our valuable ICF Certified Coach Training Program and consulting to coaches and organizations on a global scale.
