In 2013, I had been working in the banking industry for 15 years, focusing mostly on liquidity, efficiency, risk, expansion, reorganizing and investment analysis. I had been feeling increasingly overwhelmed and unhappy. Though it took me some time to realize it, I was struggling with the fact that selling is not my strength. I do much better when I focus on analysis, creating efficiency, introducing new things, and generally working in the service of people. I loved the banking world, but I was losing touch with myself.

After my son was born, I read a lot of books on psychology to help me be a better parent. It’s what helped me understand what was causing the stress in my life and why I had to leave my banking job. I started a business focused on health and wellness and spent three years studying and developing my wellness skills.

Having discovered how to improve my life for the better, I realized that I wanted to find a way to help others make the same changes. I could have gone to school to study psychology, but I didn’t want to have to wait five years to help people develop their inner and outer beauty. I wanted to help people sparkle now!

It was as if the universe heard me. As soon as I realized what I wanted to do, I started hearing about coaching. First via promotional emails and then from a friend.  At the time, coaching wasn’t popular in Bulgaria. It really only existed in the high leadership levels in international companies. Curious, I spent some time researching my options. I finally decided to study NLP in Bulgaria and fulfil one of my lifelong dreams by travelling to the United States to study coaching.

Shortly after I applied to the Academy of Leadership Coaching & NLPs Coaching course, Helen Attridge called me to see if I would be a good fit for the program. I will never forget that call. I instantly felt so supported and accepted! Our chat convinced me that this was the program for me. The fact that it was being held near San Francisco was an added bonus. I’d always wanted to visit California. Even though I was going through a difficult time in my personal life, I was so excited about what was to come.

The program delivered everything I was expecting and more. It helped me to understand myself better. The training started me on a path of massive personal growth, connected me with incredible people who are now lifelong friends, taught me valuable lessons about communication, and inspired me even more to help people be happier, healthier, and more successful at work and in their relationships.

Around that time, my husband and I decided that we were too different to continue living together. The skills I learned at the ALCN’s NLP Coach Training course has allowed us to still have a good relationship and rely on each other more than before. I’m proud that we have been able to create a friendly attitude towards each other despite being separated.

I am passionate about increasing wellness in organizations. My practice as a Business Growth and Life Balance coach focuses on helping people from the corporate world and owners of small and medium businesses. I help them reach their professional goals faster while maintaining a healthy work/life balance. Even though they come to me to work on business issues, we often end up spending 60-70-% of our sessions working on improving communication with everyone in their lives, not just at work. I love this work. Feeling my clients’ happiness makes me happy.

I believe that I have found my calling as a coach and the satisfaction is amazing. Working for myself has its plusses and minuses, but I feel free and I am constantly growing. I feel that I am on a mission to help people discover their best selves. Knowing that I am doing what I am supposed to be doing motivates me to overcome all difficulties and financial challenges.

Over the last four years I have undergone a huge personal transformation that was prompted by the ALCN training. The content of the training, the trainers, Helen herself, the whole group and the location, have all enriched my life in very concrete ways. I had so much fun while learning and connecting with people from all around the world. We were people from 12 different countries and, despite our very different cultures, everyone had such a loving attitude, mutual understanding, and a desire to have fun. My time at ALCN training opened my eyes for new possibilities in life and business. It had an enormous impact on my life. You enter this program as one person and come out as another, in the most positive of ways.
